Rumson Borough, New Jersey is a borough of the Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Rumson Borough had an official population of 7137 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 7264, giving it the 230th largest population among New Jersey. It covers total area of 7.24 sq mi (18.75 square kilometre), of which, 5.22 square miles (13.52 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.01 square miles (5.21 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 64th largest by total area in New Jersey. It is ranks 15 in the size of its inland waterways in New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7137 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1366 people per square mile (527.42/kmē), making its New Jersey's 107th least densely populated borough.
