Rowan City is a city located in Wright County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 218. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 194, giving it the 263rd smallest population among Iowa. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.56 sq mi (1.45 square kilometre), making it Iowa's 592nd largest by total area.
