Roseland Borough is a borough located in the Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The population of the borough was 5298 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 5352, It is 274th most populous in New Jersey. The borough has a total area of 3.62 mi˛ (9.38 sq km), making it the 157th largest by size in New Jersey.

In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 20.6% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 29.2% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 85.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.6 males.
