Rose City City, Ogemaw County, Michigan is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 721 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 685 in July 2008, making it the 141st least populous in Michigan. The city comprises an area of 1.09 sq mi (2.82 kmē), of which, 1.08 square miles (2.8 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 173rd smallest by size in Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 721 people in the city, organized into 241 households, and 156 families residing in the city. The population density was 665.7 people per square mile (257.03/kmē), it is the 166th least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Michigan. There were 283 housing units at an average density of 262 per square mile (101.16/kmē). The average household size was 2.51 persons, and the average family size was 3.16 persons.
