Rome City, Floyd County, Georgia is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 34980 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 36041, It is 16th most populous in Georgia. Its area is just over 29.84 mi˛ (77.29 square kilometre), of which, 29.38 square miles (76.09 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.46 square miles (1.19 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 12th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.
