Rocky Mount Town is a town located in the Franklin County, Virginia, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4066 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4535, giving it the 91st smallest population among Virginia. The town extends throughout a territory of 4.59 mi˛ (11.89 sq km ), it is the 171st largest by area in the U.S. state of Virginia.
