Rockwood City is a city located in Roane County, Tennessee, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 5774. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 5541, making it the 86th most populous in Tennessee. The city comprises an area of 7.95 mi˛ (20.59 sq km), of which, 7.89 square miles (20.44 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 117th largest by total area in Tennessee.
