Rockwood City is a city located in Wayne County, Michigan, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 3442 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 3160, It is the 233rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. It covers total area of 2.7 sq mi (6.99 square kilometre), it is the 262nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.
