Rockwell Town is a town in the Rowan County, North Carolina, United States. In 2000, town's population was 1971 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2012, making it North Carolina's 273rd largest. Its area is just over 1.67 mi˛ (4.33 sq km), making it North Carolina's 418th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1971 people, 744 households, and 553 families residing in the town.
