Rockwell City is a United States city located in the Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 989 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 992, making it the 280th most populous in Iowa. The city encompasses an area of 2.97 sq mi (7.69 kmē), giving it the 127th largest by total area among Iowa.
