Rochester City is a one of the Monroe County, New York, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Rochester City is home to 219773 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 206886, It is the third most populous in the U.S. state of New York. The city extends throughout a territory of 37.1 mi˛ (96.09 sq km ), of which, 35.83 square miles (92.8 sq km) of it is land and 1.27 square miles (3.29 sq km) of it is water, making it the fifth largest by size in New York.
