Roanoke City is a United States city located in the Denton County, Texas, United States. It is home to over 2810 people (2000 census). It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4235, It is Texas's 513th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.04 square miles (15.64 sq km), of which, 6.03 square miles (15.62 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 365th largest by total area among Texas.
