Riverton City is a city located in Salt Lake County, Utah, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, the population was 25011. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 39751, It is the 22nd largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 12.57 miē (32.56 kmē), it is the 53rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Utah.

As of the census of 2000, there were 25011 people, 6348 households, and 5885 families living in the city. The population density was 1989.7 people per square mile (768.23/kmē), giving it the 40th most densely populated city among the Utah.
