Riverside Borough is a borough in the Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of 2000 the population was 1861. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the borough is 1853, making it the 649th most populous in Pennsylvania. It is spread over 5.31 square miles (13.75 sq km), of which, 4.84 square miles (12.54 sq km ) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 sq km) of it is water, it is the 102nd largest in terms of geographical size.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1861 people, 760 households, and 562 families living in the borough. The population density was 384.4 people per square mile (148.42/kmē), it is 162nd least densely populated borough in Pennsylvania. There were 799 housing units at an average density of 165.1 per square mile (63.75/kmē). The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.88. In the borough the population was spread out, with 22.6% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 28.9% from 45 to 64, and 16% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males. The median age is 41.7 years, The median age of males and females living in Riverside Borough was 40.4 and 43.1 years respectively. The racial makeup of the borough was 1846 White, 1 Black or African American, American Indian, 4 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 8 from two or more races and 2 Ohter races.
