Rising Sun Town is one of the town of Cecil County, Maryland, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of the town was 1702 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1809, It is Maryland's 119th smallest by population . The town comprises an area of 0.95 mi˛ (2.46 sq km), of which, 0.93 square miles (2.41 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 96th smallest by total area among Maryland.
