Rifle City, Colorado is a city of the Garfield County, Colorado, United States. The population of the city was 6784 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 9202, giving it the 70th largest population among Colorado. The city comprises an area of 4.33 sq mi (11.21 sq km), of which, 4.29 square miles (11.11 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 102nd largest by total area among Colorado.
