Ridgefield Borough is a one of the Bergen County, New Jersey, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 10830 inhabitants. The borough's estimated population as of July 2008 was 10851, making it New Jersey's 153rd largest. It covers total area of 2.87 mi˛ (7.43 sq km), of which, 2.61 square miles (6.76 sq km) of it is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 sq km) of it is water, making it New Jersey's 204th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 10830 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4149.8 people per square mile (1602.25/km˛), giving it the 156th most densely populated borough among the New Jersey. There were 4120 housing units at an average density of 1578.5 per square mile (609.46/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.69 persons, and the average family size was 3.19 persons. In the borough the population was spread out, with 21.8% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.8 males. The median age was 39.5 years, The median age of males was 38 years, for females the median age was 40.8 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 75.87% White, 0.77% Black or African American, 0.08% American Indian, 17.42% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, 2.32% from two or more races and 3.5% Other races.
