Richmond Heights City is a United States city located in the Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 10944 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 10174, It is the 169th most populous in the U.S. state of Ohio. Its area is just over 4.38 square miles (11.34 sq km), of which, 4.37 square miles (11.32 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it the 236th largest by size in Ohio.

As of the census of 2000, there were 10944 people, 4864 households, and 2970 families living in the city. The population density was 2504.4 people per square mile (966.95/kmē), giving it the 170th most densely populated city among the Ohio. There were 5060 housing units at an average density of 1157.9 per square mile (447.07/kmē). The average household size was 2.22 people, and the average family size was 2.85 people. In the city the population was spread out, with 19.7% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 111.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 117.3 females. The median age of the city's population was 40.7 years, the median age of male residents at 38.6 and the median age of female residents at 42.4. The racial makeup of the city was 7549 White, 2612 Black or African American, 6 American Indian, 519 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, 183 from two or more races and 71 Ohter races.
