Richmond City is a United States city located in the Fort Bend County, Texas, United States. The population of the city was 11081 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 13493, giving it the 196th largest population among Texas. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.94 mi˛ (10.2 sq km ), of which, 3.72 square miles (9.63 sq km) of it is land and 0.22 square miles (0.57 sq km) of it is water, it is the 514th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11081 people, 3413 households, and 2629 families residing in the city. The population density was 2975.4 people per square mile (1148.81/km˛), it is the 70th most populated city in terms of population density.
