Richland County is a county located in the United States of South Carolina. The population of county in 2000 stood at 320677 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 364001, It is the second most populous county in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Its area is just over 771.72 sq mi (1998.75 sq km), of which, 756.41 square miles (1959.09 sq km) of it is land and 15.3 square miles (39.63 sq km) of it is water, it is the 14th largest in terms of geographical size.
