Richland County, Ohio is a county of the United States of Ohio. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 128852 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 124999, giving it the 23rd largest population among Ohio's county. It has total area of 500.33 sq mi (1295.85 sq km), of which, 496.88 square miles (1286.91 sq km) of it is land and 3.45 square miles (8.94 sq km) of it is water, it is the 33rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.
