Rich County is a county in the United States of Utah. In 2000, the population was 1961. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2205, making it Utah's third smallest county. The county comprises an area of 1086.29 mi˛ (2813.48 sq km), of which, 1028.53 square miles (2663.88 sq km) of it is land and 57.76 square miles (149.6 sq km) of it is water, making it Utah's seventh smallest county by total area. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Utah.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1961 residents, 645 households, and 522 families in the county. The population density was 1.9 people per square mile (0.73/km˛), it is the sixth least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Utah. There were 2408 housing units at an average density of 2.3 per square mile (0.89/km˛). The average household size was 3.01 and the average family size was 3.44. The population's age distribution was 34.6% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.5 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2205, The racial makeup of the county was 99.18% White, 0% Black or African American, 0.09% American Indian, 0.27% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.45% from two or more races.
