Riceville City is a one of the Mitchell and Howard counties, Iowa, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 840 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 806, It is Iowa's 328th largest by population . The city comprises an area of 1.11 mi˛ (2.87 square kilometre), of which, 1.1 square miles (2.85 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 324th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
