Reynolds County is a county located in Missouri, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 6689. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 6388, It is the 11th smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Missouri. It has total area of 814.41 square miles (2109.31 square kilometre), of which, 811.2 square miles (2101 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.21 square miles (8.31 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 12th largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 8.2 people per square mile (3.17/kmē), it is the least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Missouri. There were 3759 housing units at an average density of 4.6 per square mile (1.78/kmē). The average household size was 2.4 persons, and the average family size was 2.85 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 24% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 25% from 25 to 44, 27.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 101.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 6388, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 6089 White, 40 Black or African American, 91 American Indian, 13 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 155 from two or more races.
