The county has a total area of 892.03 mi˛ (2310.35 sq km), of which, 874.77 square miles (2265.64 sq km) of it is land and 17.27 square miles (44.73 sq km) of it is water, it is the ninth smallest by area in the U.S. state of North Dakota.
