Renton City, King County, Washington is a city located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 50052. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 62266, It is 14th most populous in Washington. The city has a total area of 17.3 mi˛ (44.81 square kilometre), of which, 17.03 square miles (44.11 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 36th largest by total area in Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 50052 people, 21708 households, and 12234 families residing in the city. The population density was 2939.7 people per square mile (1135.02/km˛), it is Washington's 59th most densely populated city. There were 22676 housing units at an average density of 1331.5 per square mile (514.1/km˛). The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.96.
