Reno County is a county in the United States of Kansas. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 64790 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 63427, making it Kansas's ninth largest county. It is spread over 1271.25 mi˛ (3292.52 sq km), of which, 1254.42 square miles (3248.93 sq km ) of it is land and 16.84 square miles (43.62 sq km) of it is water, making it Kansas's third largest county by total area. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Kansas.

In the county Population was distributed with 24.5% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 63427, The racial makeup of the county was 93.96% White, 3.09% Black or African American, 0.7% American Indian, 0.63% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.58% from two or more races.
