The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 34.55 miē (89.48 kmē ), of which, 23.34 square miles (60.45 kmē) of it is land and 11.21 square miles (29.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the tenth largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Georgia.
