Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 66882, giving it the 107th largest population among California. The city extends throughout a territory of 6.43 square miles (16.65 sq km ), of which, 6.28 square miles (16.27 sq km) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 462nd largest by total area in California.
