Red Cloud City is a United States city located in the Webster County, Nebraska, United States. In 2000, the population was 1131. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 960, making it the 101st most populous in Nebraska. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.02 mi˛ (2.64 sq km), it is the 85th largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1131 people, 520 households, and 302 families residing in the city. The population density was 1108.5 people per square mile (427.99/km˛), making its Nebraska's 238th most densely populated city.
