Rayne City is a United States city located in the Acadia Parish, Louisiana, United States. As of 2000 the population was 8552. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 8601, It is Louisiana's 64th largest by population . It has total area of 3.46 mi˛ (8.96 sq km), of which, 3.45 square miles (8.94 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it the 175th largest by size in Louisiana.
