Ray County is a county located in Missouri, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The county has a population of 23354 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 23445, It is Missouri's 48th most populous county. The county spans an area of 573.57 miē (1485.54 kmē), of which, 569.47 square miles (1474.92 kmē) of it is land and 4.11 square miles (10.64 kmē) of it is water, making it the 61st largest by size in Missouri.
