Raton City is one of the city of Colfax County, New Mexico, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of the city was 7282 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 6465, making it New Mexico's 31st largest. The city comprises an area of 7.34 square miles (19.01 square kilometre), makes it the 71st largest by total area in New Mexico.
