Ransom City is a one of the Ness County, Kansas, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 338 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 279, It is the 356th largest by population in the U.S. state of Kansas. The city has a total area of 0.33 sq mi (0.85 sq km), giving it the 400th largest by total area among Kansas.
