Ramsey Borough is a one of the Bergen County, New Jersey, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 14351 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 14595 in July 2008, It is the 102nd largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 5.6 mi˛ (14.5 sq km), of which, 5.56 square miles (14.4 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, it is the 100th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 14351 people in the borough, organized into 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 2583.2 people per square mile (997.38/km˛), it is New Jersey's 284th most densely populated borough. There were 5400 housing units at an average density of 971.2 per square mile (374.98/km˛). The average household size was 2.68 people, and the average family size was 3.18 people. Age range in the borough was well distributed with 27% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.9 males. The median age of the borough's population was 38.6 years, the median age of male residents at 37.7 and the median age of female residents at 39.3. The racial makeup of the borough was 91.62% White, 0.78% Black or African American, 0.1% American Indian, 5.85% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 1.1% from two or more races and 0.54% Other races.
