Railroad Borough is a borough located in York County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 300. In July 2008, its estimated population was 302, giving it the 177th smallest population among Pennsylvania. The borough spans an area of 0.63 square miles (1.63 square kilometre), it is the 420th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 300 people in the borough, organized into 112 households, and 80 families residing in the borough. The population density was 478.7 people per square mile (184.83/kmē), it is the 200th least densely populated borough in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There were 116 housing units at an average density of 184.1 per square mile (71.08/kmē). The average household size was 2.68 people, and the average family size was 3.16 people. In the borough the population was spread out, with 29% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 33.7% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.3 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 115.2 females. The median age was 36.1 years, The median age of males was 34.3 years, for females the median age was 37.2 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 96.33% White, 1.67% Black or African American, 2% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
