Rahway City is a city located in Union County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 26500. Its population was estimated at 28624 in July 2008, It is 47th most populous in New Jersey. The city has a total area of 4.04 square miles (10.46 sq km), of which, 3.99 square miles (10.33 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, it is the 140th largest in terms of geographical size.
