Raeford City is a city located in Hoke County, North Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Raeford City is home to 3386 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3517, It is the 178th most populous in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is spread over 3.77 sq mi (9.76 kmē), of which, 3.75 square miles (9.71 kmē ) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 232nd largest by size in North Carolina.

In the city the population was spread out, with 23.7% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 84.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.9 males. The median age is 40.9 years, The median age of males was 37 years, for females the median age was 44 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1786 White, 1386 Black or African American, 97 American Indian, 32 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 47 from two or more races and 37 Ohter races.
