Queen Annes County is a county located in the United States of Maryland. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Queen Annes County is home to 873341 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 47091, giving it the seventh smallest population among Maryland's county. The county has a total area of 507.14 square miles (1313.49 sq km), of which, 495.52 square miles (1283.39 sq km) of it is land and 11.63 square miles (30.12 sq km) of it is water, making it Maryland's 11th largest county by total area. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Maryland.

The population density was 1762.5 people per square mile (680.51/kmē), it is seventh least densely populated county in Maryland. There were 16674 housing units at an average density of 675.3 per square mile (260.73/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.62 persons, and the average family size was 2.99 persons. In the county Age distribution was 25.4% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 100.9 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 103.4 females. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 47091, The racial makeup of the county was 42121 White, 3877 Black or African American, 101 American Indian, 448 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, and 534 from two or more races.
