According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the census designated place has a total area of 1.23 mi˛ (3.19 sq km), of which, 0.8 square miles (2.07 sq km) of it is land and 0.44 square miles (1.14 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 27th smallest by total area among Hawaii.

As of the census of 2000, there were 881 people, 305 households, and 196 families living in the census designated place.
