Pueblo County is one of the 63 county of Colorado, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 141472 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 156737, It is Colorado's tenth most populous county. It covers total area of 2397.73 mi˛ (6210.09 square kilometre), of which, 2388.69 square miles (6186.68 square kilometre) of it is land and 9.04 square miles (23.41 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 141472 residents, 54579 households, and 37332 families in the county. The population density was 59.2 people per square mile (22.86/km˛), it is the ninth most populated county in terms of population density. There were 58926 housing units at an average density of 24.7 per square mile (9.54/km˛). The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.04. In the Pueblo County, 25.8% of the population was under the age of 18, 9.4% were 18 to 24, 27.2% were 25 to 44, 22.4% were 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.5 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 156737, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 92.91% White, 2.54% Black or African American, 1.99% American Indian, 0.82% Asian, 0.1% Native Hawaiian, and 1.63% from two or more races.
