Prospect City is a United States city located in the Jefferson and Oldham counties, Kentucky, United States. The population of the city was 4657 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5802, It is the 91st most populous in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The city encompasses an area of 4.02 mi˛ (10.41 square kilometre), making it the 102nd largest by size in Kentucky.
