Prompton Borough, Wayne County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 243. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 237, making it the 138th least populous in Pennsylvania. The borough has a total area of 1.73 sq mi (4.48 square kilometre), of which, 1.59 square miles (4.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 446th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

The population density was 152.4 people per square mile (58.84/kmē), giving it the 51st least densely populated borough among the Pennsylvania.
