Prior Lake City is a one of the Scott County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Prior Lake City had an official population of 15917 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 23836, It is the 61st most populous in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city encompasses an area of 16.04 mi˛ (41.54 square kilometre ), of which, 13.51 square miles (34.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.53 square miles (6.55 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 73rd largest by size in Minnesota.
