Princeton City is a city in the Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 6347 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 6261, It is the 25th largest in terms of population. The city extends throughout a territory of 3 mi˛ (7.77 sq km ), it is the 66th largest by area in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
