It is the 89th least populous in the U.S. state of Alaska. Its area is just over 38.37 square miles (99.38 kmē), of which, 37.39 square miles (96.84 kmē) of it is land and 0.97 square miles (2.51 kmē) of it is water, it is the 136th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alaska.
