Priest River City, Idaho


Priest River City is one of the city of Bonner County, Idaho, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1754 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 1913, It is the 61st largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 1.63 mi˛ (4.22 sq km), of which, 1.6 square miles (4.14 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 64th largest by total area in Idaho.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1754 people, 692 households, and 469 families residing in the city. The population density was 1098.8 people per square mile (424.25/km˛), it would be the 108th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Idaho. There were 762 housing units at an average density of 476.3 per square mile (183.9/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.53 persons, and the average family size was 3.09 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 28.9% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.3 males. The median age is 35.2 years, The median age of males and females living in Priest River City was 34.4 and 36 years respectively. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 94.7% White, 0% Black or African American, 1.43% American Indian, 0.46% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 2.91% from two or more races and 0.51% Other races.
