Prairie Farm Village is a one of the Barron County, Wisconsin, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 508. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 498, It is the 139th least populous in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It covers total area of 1 sq mi (2.59 kmē), of which, 0.97 square miles (2.51 kmē) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, making it the 128th smallest by size in Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 508 residents, 76 households, and 48 families in the city. The population density was 524.1 people per square mile (202.36/kmē), making it the 190th least densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 208 housing units at an average density of 214.4 per square mile (82.78/kmē). The average household size was 2.36 persons, and the average family size was 3.03 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 108.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 111.2 females. The median age is 42.3 years, the median age of male residents at 39.3 and the median age of female residents at 44. The racial makeup of the city was 505 White, Black or African American, 2 American Indian, Asian, Native Hawaiian, 1 from two or more races and Ohter races.
