Prairie City Village is one of the city of McDonough County, Illinois, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 461 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 418, making it Illinois's 361st smallest. The city spans an area of 1.01 square miles (2.62 kmē), giving it the 724th largest by total area among Illinois.
