Powder Springs City, Cobb County, Georgia is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 12481. The July 2008 population estimate is 15614, It is Georgia's 59th largest by population . The city comprises an area of 6.35 sq mi (16.45 kmē), of which, 6.34 square miles (16.42 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 134th largest by total area among Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12481 people, 4004 households, and 3269 families living in the city.
